Mental Health Counseling Graduate Students, Hiram College’s Counseling and Health Center is now accepting applications from clinical mental health counseling graduate students for our practicum/internship program. We are currently seeking three-four Master’s-level interns to work in our Counseling Center beginning in August 2025. Students can obtain clinical hours in-person, remote or hybrid. This is a flexible position to meet the needs of graduate students working full-time or part-time and needing to obtain their internship hours. The emphasis for this internship is on developing the student’s clinical skills and familiarizing them with working in a college counseling center. The Counseling Center provides free, confidential, short-term counseling to students currently enrolled at Hiram College. Interns are expected to spend 15-20 hours per week providing individual counseling, group counseling, and receiving clinical supervision. This counseling internship is ‘unique’ because of the ample opportunities that are possible. For example, the counseling intern may be able to create programs/workshops for the campus community, develop therapeutic groups, assist with grant writing, provide presentations for the college, and participate in college events.
